How does the VOLUNTEER ADVANTAGE CREDIT work?

• Families will earn a $20 tuition credit per hour volunteered.

• Families must volunteer at least 10 hours before any credit is earned. No credit will be applied for less than 10 hours volunteered.

• For every hour volunteered above 10 hours, families earn a $20 per hour credit.

Examples:

• A family volunteering 15 hours for the 2026-27 school year will earn $300 in tuition credit that will be applied to the 2027-28 school year.

• Families volunteering 9 hours during the school year will earn $0. The minimum requirement is 10 hours.

• Families volunteering 35 hours during the school year will earn a $500 tuition credit that will be applied to the 2027-28 school year. This is the maximum credit a family can earn.

• Preschool families in the 4-year-old option volunteering 35 hours during the school year will earn 20% tuition credit toward the next year’s tuition, $473 toward their $2,365.

Who can volunteer for a family to receive the tuition credit?

• Parents, students (when appropriate and approved), and grandparents can volunteer at CCS to earn hours toward the family's Volunteer Advantage Credit.

*Aunts, uncles, and friends cannot earn hours toward the family's Volunteer Advantage Credit.

A real-life example of how the VOLUNTEER ADVANTAGE CREDIT works:

                       A parent volunteers as a daily lunch room monitor for 30 minutes the entire school year.  30 minutes each day equals 2.5 hours per week.  We have 36 weeks in our school year, which means the parent accumulates 90 volunteer hours. The maximum credit allowance the parent earns is $500 toward the family’s tuition for the upcoming year.
